Speculation has it that Nate Schmidt is Available.
And Potentially our 1st round Draft pick (Currently 9th Overall) - Just Rumours Tho

Jim Mentioned about 5 times during the Press conference they are going to be Aggressive in the Trade and Free Agent Market. They are looking for Fast, skilled players and create a "scoring third line" (Mentioned that twice as well).

Canucks Needs - Multiple Bottom 6 Forwards With Speed / Skill | 3rd Line Center (with Speed or Skill) | Top 4 D-man.
Next Season Canucks will be Adding a Podkolzin + Rathbone on the back end
(Rathbone had a huge first impression since being called up late in the year).

Potential Lineup -

Forwards

Miller - EP40 - Boeser
Pearson- Horvat - Hoglander
??? - ??? - Podkolzin
Motte - Tyler Graovac - Highmore
(Some Names still roughly around, Beagle, Roussel, Eriksson)

Defense
Quinn Hughes - Hamonic (Rumoured to Re-Sign - Had a solid second half)
??? | Nate Schmidt
Jack Rathbone | Tyler Myers

What do you think Guys?
Who you all Targeting?
Who would you trade the 1st rounder for if they did go that route?

In a desperate Attempt to appease the fan base, the less the adequate GM telegraphs his desired move to his counterparts. This in turn diminishes some leverage he may have, as if he is unable to make a move in the early going, other GMs will know he is under pressure to make something happen to appease the fan base. This is text book idiocy IMO.

Called it.

Time for every GM with a pulse to start trying to dump declining players on the Canucks as Jim Benning tries to save himself from downing at the expense of the organization.

Jim is not the worst traded, especially not recently.
The problem with jim is everything else (Minus drafting).

The JT Miller Trade was Fantastic
And the Tyler Toffoli trade was the right target, and if they Resigned the guy, it would have been a massive steal.
Of course they did not, so it turned into a terrible trade, That's the way it goes.

I think long gone are the days of Gudbranson Trades.

Eric Robinson from the CBJ? Has the speed and decent skill. Seems to get a breakaway every game. If he could find a way to score half of them he’d probably have 20 goals.
That's an interesting name actually, whats the cost?
