Just under 4 million for Belesky. Not a bad deal at all. I figured he would of cashed in at 5 million per easily with the lack of depth available in UFA.

He got less than Frolik. Under 4 mil is absolutely excellent. We were hoping for less than 5. He turned down better offers to be here. That's good form on his part. Can't complain.

The number is much lower than expected if that's true. But he won't be playing with Kesler, Perry, and Getzlaf type talent here. On the surface, this appears to me to be a huge risk.

Have to like this, fit's Sweeney's blueprint, big, fast and aggressive, also appears to have developed a decent scoring touch, I'm happy.

I don't like the term and I still don't like Beleskey but Don did some good work here today. And if he's on Krejci or Bergeron's wing he might look pretty decent.

I don't think my avatar is sarcastic anymore...

Under 4 Million probably isn't a back breaker, but going to need 20 goals or 50 ish points to justify that coin IMO. I'm not sure anything in his career suggest that's who he is.

Only good thing is I didn't realize he just turned 27. Going to presumably get him through his prime at 27/28/29/30/31.

Under 4? Donnie is just on fire.

Still a worse career PPG than Chris Kelly though boys, better hope he steps it up.
