If they are going to fire him then it will likely happen very soon. I think they don't fire him.

I still can't believe he kept trotting PM and CB out there. And Auston Matthews plays less than 19 minutes in game 7. Just totally unacceptable.
PK - someone should be fired for that train-wreck right there
PP - started off strong and then was never functioning properly or consistently. But Babs kept splitting up the time between the 2 units despite the 2nd unit being ridiculously inept

Others have said it before: Babcock would rather win with his (stubborn) way than change something up as if he had made a mistake previously, which he doesn't like the idea of. It takes a man to admit one's mistakes sans ego or stubbornness.

He should get fired but will not.

We all know how this dance works. His assistants are gone after this season, Babcock gets another season to waste before he gets fired. I hope his leash is short enough that if the Leafs look lifeless like they did for much of the season this year, he gets fired before he gets a chance to ruin them in the playoffs as well.

Dubas better tell Keefe to stay on board as the Marlies coach for another year and that his chance will come.

It will be a double blow if Babcock is here and one of our rivals get Keefe.

Babcock is a fraud.

He's already gonna lose his loyal lapdog assistants. Let's see how this fool coaches next year without them, or if he coaches this team at all.

Already hinting the roster wasn't to his liking - again

It's a joke. Still not admitting that his undersized 4th line wingers were arguably the most consistent players in this series and the ones deserving of much more ice-time. You had the resources already, and they were doing well, you just refused to give them a real opportunity. Guy is such a clown, my God.

It's so tough because he qont get fired even if dubas wants to. 3 more years at whatever is too much. After a similar season next year maybe.
But when ur coach has issues with the 2 most important people in organization such as ur star and GM then theres a big problem.

Team is super skilled, marlies coming up are also skilled he talks about, coachnlikes a heavy team, gm likes a skilled team. That's a very bad combination.

Fire him.
Constant mismanagement of the assets provided.
Even if he's a 'gud coach', he's the wrong one for Dubas.
Differing voices are good, but not when it means that the GM's vision is not maximized.
You know Dubas wanted Anderson to play less games.
You know he wanted Holl to get a better look during the season etc etc.

You can have the best square peg in the world but it still won't ever fit a round hole.
Time to move on.

Well everyone can get all pumped up again next year as Babcock jumps on teams early with his stretch passes and "we win cause of my line changes attitude" Possibly squeezing in the P/O once again.

Watching post gamers as the media gets b.s'd to death...Frankly there isn't enough money nor NHL players for Mikey to win....This is all about Mike.

AndI P said sometHing similar but it was he would rather *lose* playing his way than change things up and admit he was wrong. Dude has to go.
