This is why coaches should make the decision. Hockey players will play and do dumb shit because they are competitive and it is a violent game. The risk was low, but certainly not zero. Hopefully both will be okay, but a stupid risk to take. Especially when I see MacK is already trending to a 22 minute night and Makar 25-26.

This year I think to myself. It won't matter anyways and they'll have the whole summer to health.

Get healthy and take another run at the cup next season before Rants is a UFA. Put last season and this season behind.

The most concerning thing going into the playoffs (other that Georgiev) is how bad the PK has been. We don't even have time to change anything. Our defenders better go into God mode, because our system really puts them on an island.
