I'm not sure that this was posted before but someone (the guy who writes about Sabres for Atletic) thinks that Walker was in the 7th best defensive pair across NHL this season.

Both righty’s so I imagine that won’t be a mainstay pairing. But stylistically it would definitely work.
I'm bummed we will never see the most expensive faceoff in AHL history now.

Trade won’t be voided. Johansen is just aiming for LTIR. Briere openly tried to trade Johansen before the deadline. If Johansen was *actually* injured and Briere had been successful in trading Johansen the Flyers would have opened themselves up to the same hypothetical liability as the Avs. The man is just fine — he didn’t miss a single game. This is just Johansen being his pathetic self and angling to earn his $10 million before retiring without having to get off the couch. Johansen will probably get his LTIR out of this spin.
If he's actually injured, it has to have happened last season. There's no way it happened with the Avs.
