Avs sign TJ Hensick and Ray Macias

    two good prospects for Colorado...could both turn out to be steals where they drafted them at. Good for both of those young gentlemen, and good luck in their journey to the NHL.

    Hensick should be in the NHL at some point next year, Macias may never make it, but the kid has some fast wheels though.

    the 2005 draft was absolutely wicked for the Avs.

    good teams don't rebuild, they reload.

    I remeber PL trading down a few times. That draft was deep though and one of the picks from that year will and should be a finalist for the Calder.

    Yup, the Avs had the #27 pick and traded down. The pick went to Washington and the Avs picked up two second rounders. Colorado ended up with four second round picks in 05 (Stoa, Stastny, Durand and Fritsche).
