957 save% for Justus tonight

.931 on the season.

Needs 20 games played to be eligible for the real stats. He’s at 12 games played, so he won’t get there, but to put it in perspective…

MacKinnon and Rantanen both at 21 minutes and we're saying Bednar gave them a break lmao.

Kucherov has played less than 20 minutes 7 times since the beginning of March.

MacKinnon has done that 10 times all season.

You know if the Avs win tomorrow, the Stars lose on Saturday and the Avs beat Dallas on Sunday that the top guys will be playing 25+ nightly until season's end.

Do you think he can be a #1 or is he on track to be a career back up?

You never know with goalies. He still has too small of a sample size. His body of work in the AHL wasn't the greatest. Just have to wait and see. He isn't a standout, stud prospect like an Oettinger was or anything like that but you never know how he develops.

Drouin's been so good lately. Don't know how we afford him next year.
There is "hope" that since he almost quit hockey once before, that he will take less to stay in a good spot and find a home. No idea how they make the money work.

Goalies being voodoo kinda thing? He was drafted with starter upside, no?

The real question is did Ross Colton stay under 13 minutes? Because we all know as a guy who only makes 4 million dollars a year, that's where his legs fall off.

Yeah, a bit of that, but mostly because goalies are different once teams have accurate, deep scouting reports on them. Nobody has that on Annunen yet. Once you know how to beat a goalie, there are few goaltenders who can actually adapt and correct their weaknesses. Most stick to what got them to the show and made them successful their entire lives.

Young goalies usually hit roadblocks in their second/third pro seasons once the book is out on them. Most falter permanently at that point. The good ones work on their weaknesses and correct them.

Early book on Annunen is to get him moving side to side, back and forth. Don't let him get settled for a shot. He's too big for that. Look at the first goal tonight. Bad goal, bad angle, but that puck came out from below the goal line and was released quickly to the far post. He was too slow to get off his post and challenge the shot to take away the angle. He has to improve on that. Just one example. Whether he can correct that or not when teams start taking more one-timers and quick, off-balanced shots on him after getting him to move will be a big test.

He had amazing WJC performances, okay-ish to bad AHL performances, and now some really good NHL games. Too small of a sample size so far, but the potential is there. You also can't teach size and he's just f***ing huge. 6'4", 225 pounds and takes up tons of the net, but doesn't necessarily challenge and play at the top of his crease. A bit too deep for my liking, needs to take advantage of his God-given size a bit more.

6'4'' and 225 pounds are top tier advanced stats for goalies. He's a keeper.

Do the Avs have a goalie coach? They have always cheaper out on goaltending. But they haven't had a guy this big since Kolesnik.

Y, a bit too deep. Agree. Like him tho. Also refreshing to see a goalie in an Avs uni not staring at the ice when the clock is stopped.

Let's not get too far ahead of ourselves. Of the 12 games Juice has played, only 2 have been against playoff teams; 4 goals against when he started vs TB (0.892 SV%) and the other being when he came in to relieve Georgie vs NSH for 39 mins.
