You managed to make it all the way to the conference finals last year with Wade Redden on your top pairing, so anything is possible even with an obvious weakness. ;)

It's crazy to think we had a draft with enough teams to even consider that haha.

I think the one area you definitely don't want to be weak at is #1D if you're legitimately trying to win a draft.

Obviously there are many different ways to build a good team. With so many other good GMs, you can’t assemble a team with no weaknesses, so you can either lean into a team identity or you can try to mitigate those weaknesses. There are an infinite number of ways you could assemble a championship team here.

If you thought Redden was a weakness to be exploited... well, you’re about a year too late to that argument.

The RB guide to doing so

Step 1) Draft Fred Taylor
Step 2) ???
Step 3) Profit

I think you’re better off taking the forwards and goalies that slip because people want to use top-20 picks on defensemen who aren’t even top-50 players.

... but, as I said, there isn’t really a right or wrong way to do this.

Might be around Noon before I get these results up. I've actually had to work at my job lately.

Why get a state job if you actually have to work, right?

I think the only reasonable solution to satisfy all parties is to just quit your job. Plus, adding “message board draft game vote tallying” to your resume will impress any future job prospects.

I've been tallying but everyone thinks I'm smart and wants to talk to me. 15-20 minutes.
