Arttu Ruotsalainen, why isn't he in the NHL ?

Was looking at the Finland international team and I saw one small but good player: Arttu Ruotsalainen

was wondering, why wasn't he drafted or why isn't signed on an NHL team ?

He is 5' 8" and scored 9+11=2+ in 60 GP in FEL. Prior season he had 1+0 in 34 games.

Basically, he is small and not good enough.

This season Arttu has utilised his potential further. He has doubled his regular season points; now 57 GP and 21 + 18 = 39. He also made into national team in EHL rounds, few years and he may find himself in NHL.
