Are the Jets STILL Frauds?

lol... when we lose/play bad it's: the jets are a lottery team with out helle or in the mushy middle, when the jets win it's: the only thing that matters is what we do in the playoffs..

I will eat Jet fuel as I was definitely wrong about how this team would finish the regular season. I am reluctant to jump on the Jet charter just yet because if they falter in the firs round it will likely be because of their weaknesses, which I have highlighted during the season.

I'm not one to defend TSN or SN, but Hayes literally says the Jets can win but it will tough, our special teams could be our downfall against them and that Hellebuyck will be the difference, which is all true. It wasn't "no they can't, the Jets are frauds and are getting swept". But the title is designed to get clicked and raise some ire.

If anything, TSN has been quite positive in their opinions of the Jets this year.

Agree, I hate clickbait titles. When the Jets are covered, it often isn't too bad. It's more the lack of coverage compared to some other *cough*TO*cough* teams that gets me, but they are in the business to make money. But it does make you appreciate the local folks who are filling in the gap, like Illegal Curve, Winnipeg Sports Talk, and Murat. The discussion and coverage you get from them far exceeds what you'd get from any mainstream sports network anyway. That's how we roll around here, real people not mega corporations.

this is just the TV shows bowing to the sports betting fans....

a bunch of people who don't know crap about the teams involved, go look at the standings and the history, without actually watching the reg season, make bets push the odds for Colorado up, and TSN just spews out a storyline to support the betting...... no real analysis just parroting the sportsbook trends....

Sure Colorado scores a ton against bottom feeders... so they are #1 with 297 GF...and the Jets are #15 with 251GF

BUT

Jets are #1 in goals against with 193 GA... and Colorado are 15th at 251 GA

Jets outscored Avs 4-2, 6-2,7-0 = 17-4 in reg season.....

and Defence and goaltending win cups.

it should be a Jets as favorites by a mile....but here we are playing mouthpiece to Vegas casinos instead of talking about hockey. and suddenly Jetss are dogs?

I don't know if it's that egregious. I was upset when the accusation was made during the season, but their awful performance thus far in the playoffs (after Jets 2nd best regular season) is making me think "if the shoe fits, wear it":

It would be one thing to be down 2-1 after three hard fought, close games, not three games where we were handily outplayed in all positions save game 1 where Helle was marginally better than Georgiev allowing for the 7-6 score.

They are playoff frauds for real. Regular season is different, always is. The jets have some good players in 55, 81, 27 that look pretty in Regular season and evaporate in playoffs since they are weak lil bi**hes. Its reality. Our only player who is elite is our goalie, who has never been anything but average in the playoffs. Not a big game player apparently. Our coach is a weakness in a best of 7 series as well. Special team are huge fail, but at least we are overly loyal to the failure of a coach. More important to true North.

So yes, they certainly are not remotely contenders, so does that make reg season success fraudulent when looking at the playoffs as contenders? Ya, likely.
