Funny...interesting though that the 2,3 and 6th picks that year all came from solid family backgrounds eh?He's great and all, but he's no Brian Lee.
I don't think so he is 36 and will probably hang them up when age catches up.I think he has the best chance of braking Marleau's record of 1779 career games.
also, i think he can reach to 1500 career points too.
There is like only 97 or so mens professional hockey players in that whole country per the iihf. Lots of kids are starting to play, so there might be more in the future, but at the moment not enough talented guys to make the NHL.why haven't there been more slovenian players that have entered the league since kopitar?
i know it's a basketball country, but you'd think there would've been at least a couple more. jan mursak is the only other slovenian nhl'er and he only played 46 games over a decade ago
He's great and all, but he's no Brian Lee.
And the Sens took Brian Lee over him, lol.Even though he was and is a key cog on a divisional rival, I always admired him, he just plays the game the right way.
And we took Devin effing Setoguchi ahead of him
Only 721 points away from Jagr's recordAll time points, non-North Americans:
1) Jagr 1921
2) Ovechkin 1485
3) Makita 1476
4) Selanne 1457
5) Kurri 1398
6) Sundin 1349
7) Stastny 1239
8) Malkin 1229
9) Kopitar 1201
10) Federov 1179
This list really puts his career into perspective. He has an outside shot a becoming a top 5 Europen scorer ever. All time points, non-North Americans:
1) Jagr 1921
2) Ovechkin 1485
3) Makita 1476

Lol. The Slovenian quite easily.Him or Price in a redraft ?
Wouldn't surprise me if that's an honest question.Him or Price in a redraft ?
We have 3 or 4 rinks in the whole country, Kopitar is uniqe and we won't get another one like him again. There is like only 97 or so mens professional hockey players in that whole country per the iihf. Lots of kids are starting to play, so there might be more in the future, but at the moment not enough talented guys to make the NHL.
