Loverock is an interesting case. In the OHL entry draft for '89s, he was pinned as the top goalie going in along with Cann, Babiak, Borden, and Fisher. He didn't play in the GTHL (but another more obscure league, which my memory forgets) and his scouting was largely based on phenomenal tournament play. Many had him in mocks/rankings as head and shoulders above any other goalie in that draft year.

I think his playoffs sealed him out of the draft. Scouts are picky like that. Cann made the Canadian U17's and all so he had that extra scouting and exposure which evidentially went a long way.

I hope to see improvement for him next year, especially in the playoffs. He has great size and knows how to use it. He was passed over once but I wouldn't consider him a bust at all. Lots of potential.
