Absolutely perfect deal.

I know I've seen a couple comments about 'too long' and I can't be mad at that opinion either. But I think Mikey's game will age well. He's still very young, he's not super physical (or suicidal in the corners like Lizotte), and his game isn't predicated on physical gifts as much as it is IQ. Should be an excellent transition from Doughty to Clarke, too.

that's a really great deal imo, tells me he wants to play here which is great too

solid player, even if he doesn't improve, that's not much money in a couple years' from now cap terms

Really like the deal. Mikey is a solid, dependable Top 4 D-man. The Cap hit is solid. Aside from that atrocity of a deal he gave Cal, Rob has done a pretty good job of getting deals done with some pretty reasonable Cap Hits.

Good deal for the Kings. Anderson was a good playoff performer last year and has been really good ever since. He was always good but he elevated to a different level physically.
I like his game a lot.
He can play both sides also in a pinch should injuries ever pile up.
He played his off side with Bjornfot as a pair last year and they were solid.
Blake is doing well with these signings.

$4m is a lot for a guy that even this year is pacing for 20pts, but whatever. The cap is the cap, fit players however they need to fit.

This is why I didn't like the 1x1M deal he got.

I'm not going to complain though. I think this will end up being fantastic for us in the long term.

Good signing. Wonder what Vilardi will get. If we can keep this roster together, and I imagine Vilardi working really well with a speedy Byfield, we can do damage. Get it done Rob.

Really like this deal. The cap better make that jump over the next couple of years or we’ll be commenting on who will be getting shipped out to cover this contract. But every team will have this issue if the cap stays the same or goes down.

Yeah, this is nothing really. If the cap stays flat we will be in even better shape. Some teams will have to find a way to ship out major parts. I mean, Toronto has 72+ million tied up in 11 roster players already, with only their backup signed. They would be even more F'd than they are. With under 11M available for 9 spots they probably have to move someone already.

Very nice. Figured he'd get about $4M AAV, and there's nothing wrong with giving him the max years. He'd still only be 31/32 at the end of the contract, which is typically around the age when players start to possibly decline a little.
