Meyers just didnt fit with bednar's vision for a bottom six forward. Hes geniunely one of our best ahl forwards though.

The Avs are trying to win another cup, so they're going to play the best players. They aren't going to gift a guy like Meyers a 4th line spot in the hopes that he'll turn into a great 4th liner 2 years from now. That's just not where the Avs are in their cycle.

Bit too early to consider those 2022/2023 picks to be guaranteed better players than Meyers is. Especially since both are to play single NHL game.
