Most shootouts or penalty shots the goalie will look at the player instead of the puck when he thinks there's going to be a deke. It's too hard to stop someone with quick hands looking at the puck. Same reason D look at the body of the opposing player so they don't get caught.

Well, it was at the All-Star Game, and we all know you're not supposed to play defense or make saves you normally would there

The goalie is just awful.

Definitely not... KHL leader in shutouts this season (6). In an interview several months ago, Staňa called Koshechkin "clearly the best Russian goalie in the KHL". Now they both met on the Western All-Star team. (Although 18 goals allowed in one game... ouch!)
