Dan Ellis, with 30 saves, practically earns the shutout last night.

Apparently, there's more than 3 shootout rounds in the AHL because Samson scored in the 2nd round and it wasn't until the 4th round that Texas tied it.

Victor Rask has apparently been returned to the Calgary Hitmen. Does that 10 game contract year limit come into play with the AHL as well during a lockout? If so that makes sense.

This could very well be true. I've only seen him play in a handful of games. I guess that Jeff Skinner is finally about to make the switch to the AHL.

How did he do during his time in Charlotte? 5 points in 10 games isn't that bad for a rookie.

I didn't see him in person but I haven't heard one negative thing about his time there from anyone. But if it means that Skinner's on his way, then he's the obvious person to move to make room.

How well is Dalpe playing?

The numbers look quite good with 13 points in 15 games.

I've got him in a keeper league, do I still have reason to maintain hope he can be a NHL player?

I think you do. I believe he'll get more minutes under Muller than he did with Maurice.

Then again, one could say that about Boychuk, Nash, etc.

I'd hold onto him though.

Five rounds in every league but the NHL that I know of.

I have no idea why the NHL only has 3 rounds. Even after 7 years it still feels way too short, almost ripoff-ish.

Hmm... I agree. However, allowing the shootout to decide the outcome of a game is a completely different topic of discussion.

Why isn't Skinner playing for the Checkers? You'd think it would be very beneficial for his career to continue playing during the lockout.

How has Jeremy Welsh looked out there? Hasn't put up much points but how has his game been outside of the statsheet?

Currently tied with Lake Erie in the 2nd. Need a win, team has been struggling lately.

From the little I've payed attention to him I like what I saw. Guy isn't afraid to play hard and hit hard.

They're slumping now... agreed on Skinner needing to play. He'd be killer in the A

If they want to break out of the slump they could begin by not regularly starting a goalie who is a lock to give up 3 goals a game, and who has a .897% on a team where the other goalie is at .930. But this organization has a slavish devotion to Justin Peters for some reason that I still don't understand.

He must have some explicit pictures of Daniels somewhere...

They need to burn the white uniforms.

The homes games they have lost, they don't play physical, don't hit.

The game they did win this past Friday, they actually played a physical game of hockey.

At this point, I blame Daniels.

When that kind of thing happens at a home game, it's always special.
