Again because of the Iginla contract, they have had no cap space all season. It all comes down to going all in last year and spending almost 5 million of this years cap trying to win it all

With several people posting that there appears to be an apparent division in the management ranks, could it be possible that Chiarelli had a verbal on the deal tweeted last night and the deal was scuttled by Jacobs and Neely?
