This is only shocking to Sens/Alfie haters

Daniel Alfredsson is 35th all-time for ERA adjusted Points

1261 pts in 1246 GP, he played until 41 years old. Kinda hard to stay over PPG when you play until that age

That's more than Bobby Hull and Maurice Richard

3rd most points in the 2000's (1999-00 to 2009-10), just behind Thornton and Iginla (better PPG than Iginla)

And we're just talking about point totals here.

Good post. It really isn't questionable as some have tried to portray it.

Team success takes way too much space for some people and too quickly it is forgotten that Alfie played the whole dead puck era

If the Sens won 2 back-to-back Cups in 2004-05 and 2005-06 at their peak like they should have, imagine how much more of a Legend Alfie would be

Agreed. Team success in general gets way too much attention and the whole "winners and losers" can be as much about fortunate circumstances as anything.

Hi everyone,

I’m late to this news as I hadn’t been checking in since the SCF.

Congratulations on your Legendary, long time Captain finally getting his call to HHOF.

For many, many years your Sens were synonymous with the name, Daniel Alfredsson.

Amazing 2 way player, fierce competitor and class act.

Really happy to see him going in with my beloved Sedin’s.

Cheers my Sens friends, and suck it to anyone who disagrees that Alfie belongs

I've never seen as much vitriol thrown towards a Hall of Fame selection as I'm seeing being thrown towards Alfie. Chalking it up to irrational Sens hatred because there are many recently selected players on the HHOF who are less worthy of being in the HHOF than Alfie, yet those picks were never questioned.
