I'm excited for this chance for Wennberg, I've believed that he is the most skilled player on this roster and I think he will be an excellent 1b center sooner rather than later.

I think Foligno should be our top center.

I put this in the other thread too but folks need to at least consider it here before despairing over our center situation.

Since December 5th, Foligno has 13 pts in 11 games, and Wennberg has 13 pts in 14 games.

That doesn't bother me. Can only go up from here...or solidify last place

when you deal your #1 scorer, you will take goals no matter if they are lasers to the upper corner or bouncing off the defensemans ass

Like I said in the other thread, he's almost matched last season's production in half the games played.

I'm just worried with consistency. He seems to be pretty streaky. But I'll be happy if he continues this point every other game thing he's got going on right now

Unfortunately we have a ton of guys like that too. Hartnell, Saad, Cam, and wennberg are all really streaky.

Wennberg IMO has taken the #1 C role from dubi. Dubi just isn't that guy, and he's not playing very well right now.

He's young, and it's part of the growing pains of a young player.

I was gonna say we seem to have a lot of young guys who have similar consistency issues.
Wennberg has played better (minus last game or so), hopefully he can stay healthy and keep his head up.

IMO the biggest flaw in Wennberg's game is his shot. If he can improve it, he'll be a 20 - 30 goal, 60 - 70 point forward.

I really hope you are right but... I'm sorry, there's absolutely no way Wennberg will ever be a 60-70 point player. I just don't see that kind of production out of him ever. 55 points may be even too generous to top.

Another knock on Wennberg is he has to improve in the faceoff circle.. 42 percent for his career.
