Alexander Nylander wants to be picked by Toronto

Don't think its that rare for players to say similar things. Both Strome and Marner made it known they wanted to come here, McDavid hinted at it, even Hanifin said he'd love to play for Toronto. Most guys though say it very respectably, I'm sure after living in the GTA and the fact his brother plays here makes Toronto his top choice.

Do you know how rare it is to make it as a 17 year old, let alone a 17 year old D? The list of 17 year old d consists of Ekblad, Ellis (Jr. offensive dynamo) and Bouwmeester (who actually made it 3 and half months after turning 16). That's very elite company. In the last 10 years here are all the highly regarded 17 year olds that got passed over (Murray, Nurse, Reinhart, Gudbranson, Dougie Hamilton, Doughty, Pietriangelo, Schenn, Alzner) let alone all the other guys who eventually became elite (Subban for example)
