It's a Farm team.

The only definition of "good" is what they produce for the big club. Any other definition does not make sense

But if these prospects are to be counted on to be good NHL players I think they need to be pretty good out of the gate for Albany.

Q, Wood's, Santini, Jacob's, if these guys are legit they will good out of the gate, and Albany will be a good team for it.

Better then this season, meh probably not, but this years team was really good.

How good they are, especially with all these young guys, could say something about Kowalsky as well.

There are enough reports to call Santini a pretty safe bet. Kid generally gets lots of praise.

It's the lack of offense that has some concerned. Same with Jacobs, but both do look like good defensive prospects. Sure you'd like more offense, (an offensive d-man is this draft would prob be a good idea), but it's not mandatory.

While that's true from a micro sense from an intangible sense it also helps the younger players when they can play in playoff games. If this Albany team hadn't made the playoffs you wouldn't have had eleven extra games for guys like Zacha (well if he'd stayed healthy) and Lappin - among others - to get additional experience in big situations and give the organization some first-hand insight how far along they are. It's never a bad thing when the farm teams get to play in the playoffs and you have actual prospects getting more playing time and development.

I think you've got two right ideas there. Good post.
