It wasn't that long ago that we had two games on at the same time on a regular basis. Unless there is an issue with the arena and the other sports or events going on we shouldn't have to these late starts. Not in the first two rounds anyways.
The US TV partners dictate the schedule. What the actual fans who might want to actually watch the game want is an afterthought.

Just more proof that east coasters (even some at TSN and Sportsnet that pretend to be hockey analysts) don’t actually watch the game. Also proof that NHL’s marketing is a joke. And also proof that the LA hockey market is not passionate. Oh and the 8:30 starts have been a dumb idea.

I think this viewership number excludes those in the LA market. I think that they still have their local broadcast operating judging by seeing Darryl Evans wearing a dumbass suit you can see from space between the benches in Game 3 and 4.

Don't think there would have been a way for there to be only 1 game Sunday. Vegas/Dallas would have had to play before us either way.

We are playing a team in the pacific time zone so this will likely exist in the next round too unless the predators comeback (Could also be worse, Nashville has to watch these games at 9:20 PM).

Assuming we take care of business, there are only 4 series in total at that point so hopefully we'd be less likely to be stuck with 8:30 and might even get a couple 7:30 starts (or possibly earlier on weekends).

For example, the Calgary series two years ago we had three 7:30 starts, one 6:00 start and for some strange reason one 8:30 start, but that was on a Friday night and some reason they wanted Rangers/Canes to start later.

Last year vs. Vegas none of the starts were later than 8:00 and we even had a 7:30, 6:30 and 5:00 start in there.

I've learned to accept 8:00 is just what we have to deal with for the first round or two, but 8:30 with prolonged intros pushing puck drop to 8:52 is complete nonsense.

Hm well only national broadcasters are listed there. But relative to other series, the numbers still low. It’s probably the late start effect more than anything. But still, I’ve been reading Kings forums during these days and I can tell you belief over there very low.

That's really the big win. Jay would have got the team going again offensively and they may even be in the exact same spot as they are now (ie 2nd in the Pacific playing first round with home ice) but I'm not so confident the defense would be where they are today.
Also Manson kind of sucked on the PK. It’s been way better under Stuart

Start times are a bit of a factor, but not all, because we had better numbers last year even with 8:00 starts for most games.

It's also because it is on ESPN2/TBS instead of ESPN which gets less viewers typically anyways.

Couple that with the fact that there's likely very little intrigue to the series for casual fans that don't follow Edmonton or LA because most were expecting a quick series by Edmonton and it's gone head to head with a Conference Final rematch for 2 of the nights. and a Colorado/Winnipeg game in what has been a crazy high scoring series for its Friday night game, then the crazy start time Sunday in a game where the entire hockey world was assuming would go Edmonton's way after Friday's ass kicking.

Also Manson kind of sucked on the PK. It’s been way better under Stuart

It's been both ridiculously hot and ridiculously cold at time with Stuart that I'm still a bit nervous about the pendulum swinging back, but anytime you have a PK that has the ability to go on runs of 90-95% for 5-10 games, you have a chance.

What does Brave do? Get rid off the ads?

Right now have a Brisket curing in the fridge for Montreal Smoked Meat. Need to rinse, let it dry, smoke to 160 internal, fridge overnight then steam to 205 internal for slicing into sandwiches.

This is a pic of last time we did it.

Bit of a process? Eh...it's really nothing.
Curious
What kind of smoker u use? I’m buying a new one soon

Ya no more pop ups and you don't get randomly taken to another website or different part of the thread.

I think Bob is the one that told me about it. The Casino Bob, not the pizza Bob

Onterrible
It's impossible to navigate this site on your phone because 3/4 is filled with ads. When you accidentally click on one, it sends you back to the beginning of the page.
there are plenty of mobile browsers with adblocking built in, Brave, Opera, Adblock Browser etc. Works fine when you use them.

I have the Rye bread, mustard (yellow and hot) and some sauerkraut.....

Looks great
Oh man, I’d love one of those sandwiches right now. My mouth is watering.

Had the opportunity to eat at Katz’ Deli in NYC a few years ago. The food was beyond wonderful and the atmosphere almost indescribable. Itbwas like you stepped into 1953. Old style chrome and Formica tables, a dozen industrial meat slicers going non stop behind the counter, the pictures of who has eaten there around the place was nostalgic. The ticket system to get in and then to get out was something to experience - do NOT lose your ticket while eating... it will cost you. And yes the table where Harry and Sally had their lunch has a sign signifying. Everyone wants to eat their sandwich there.
