Two players could hit 100 assists on the season (on the same day) for the first time in league history tonight. Kucherov (43-98-141 in 79 GP) and McDavid (31-99-130 in 74 GP).
The only other time that two players have reached 100 assists in a season was in 1989 when Gretzky and Lemieux both scored 114 assists. Gretzky scored his 100th assist on March 7 against the Penguins. Lemieux scored his February 26 against Hartford.
