Depressing tournament. Our kids aren't ready yet. If this is the future, we clearly don't belong to this level. Utterly embarrassing outing with 1 pity goal in two games.

Sweden was so much better they could just suffocate the game with about 70% effort. Finland is just not good enough.

great game overall. not bad at all. it's not our time yet tho. we need more time to mature. let's see again in 4 years. maybe then we can truly compete :)

So this ragtag transition team outplayed Sweden? Very encouraging. When Saarela, Lehkonen, Puljujärvi are all top 6 players for Finland this means good things..

Good game from both teams, sometimes it is like this, 1-02 is fair representation, 2-0 is how it ends. Great contest!

Give this team 4 years and it'll be better.

I think Finland was the youngest team in the tournament. Aho, Ristolainen, Barkov, Laine, Teravainen, Pokka, Jokipakka et cetera are still maturing into their full potential

Atleast Finland looked somewhat equal to their opponent. That first game was brutal.

The game could have ended either way actually. Finland was a lot better than I expected. Lundqvist really saved us.

What we take from this game is Lundqvist bounce back to King form. Hedman was a lot worse today...but he will get better next game.

We had the chances but didnt capitalize. Sweden had the hot goalie. Well, Rask was good too. Could have gone either way, but I think our game was a bit better but if you dont score you cant win. I feel our coach was stupid to play Laine-Barkov-Aho too little in the first 2 periods. They were the best offensive line IMO

Laine should be able to one time those passes and passes even harder than that.

It's happened several times now that he's whiffed completely on a hard pass... That shouldn't happen. Hopefully he gets used to it.

I don't want to think that Sweden went in trying to conserve energy for tomorrow, but it sure looked like it, given how slow and mediocer performance.

Finland redeemed themselves with their play. No way Sweden was conserving energy for the game tomorrow, Finland just wanted it more, and did the little things right. Quite a few spots where an inch could have tied it. Maybe the final 5% was lacking, especially against an elite D and goalie (which the rosters said would be the case)

Beat Russia and hold your heads high!

Haha, you beat me to that one by a few seconds.

Sweden (with that lineup) did not outplay Finland the way North America did. So I actually thought the Finns showed up for this game and deserved more than they got. King Henrik is great though :yo: Burn you who doubted him :yo:

Or in 2... I liked it, a good game - Sweden was better as it really is a scoring game, but we fought really well.

And, btw, Swedes should be really nice to us if they lose to the North Americans - Finlands sak är er, or we might lose 9-1 to Russia!
