Yea I don't blame Kostoko for precisely this reason. He's a C+ goalie that's been thrown into a system where you need to be an A just to keep the games close. His B level effort is actually quite admirable, even though it won't translate to success on the ice.

They needed to draft a goalie but that didn't work out either. No good goalie has Edmonton on their list

We never spend draft assets in net. The last time we spent a good pick on one was Dubnyk. Our organization doesnt give a crap about goaltending. According to them you can draft a goalie in the 4th round, and you never spend cap or trade assets on them either because they are just a product of the defense. And this is what we get
