15 points. Small speed wobble in the next few game with Dallas, 1st Col game, being close losses and lose in shoot out to VGK. Percolating full as they go into POs inthe last 5. Running guys in and out of the lineup as they prep will have impact.

Honestly think the tougher schedule will be best for galvanizing the team heading into the playoffs. We had an extra soft schedule last year and it felt like they lost any semblance of killer instinct as a result - even with the series win against LA.

I think we'll take 7 of 10 points against the bad teams, and roughly the same against the good teams. I'll go with 15 of 20. Might be optimistic, but I'm confident that we are rolling well and only lose a couple in regulation.

What is stupid is that the Oilers last game is the 18th and the playoffs start on the 20th

We also play on the 17th
3 games in 4 nights, with the 3rd being a playoff game. Woof.

My Predictions:

@ StL - W
@ Dal - L
Col - W (coin flip here)
@ Cal (B2B) - L (Pickard will probably be in net; Flames will treat this like their cup, and we are going to probably be bagged after what will probably be three intense games. As much of a schedule loss as there will ever be.)
VGK - W
Arz - W
Van (B2B) - W
SJS - W
@ Arz - W
@ Col (B2B) - L (assuming this game has no relevance)

It's likely that we drop one of the Dallas/Col/VGK games over the next week, but I can't pick which one at the moment. Probably the Dallas game on the road.

It was like this in 2022 as well. I hope that games stay meaningful right to the end, I agree that 3/4 nothing games against shit opponents to finish the year last year was not a good thing at all and impacted playoff preparedness.
