WAYBACK MACHINE

TONIGHT’S GAME

- The Bruins host the Hurricanes tonight in the 2nd of 3 games between these teams this season and the 1st of 2 this season at TD Garden … The Bruins are 38-23-7 overall and are 15-16-4 on home ice … They are 12-5-2 vs. Metropolitan Division teams and are 28-12-4 vs. Eastern Conference opponents.

BOSTON vs CAROLINA, LIFETIME SERIES

- The Bruins and Hurricanes are meeting for the 193rd time in their franchise histories (includes Carolina as Hartford) with the Bruins having a 103-70-16-3 record and 654-557 scoring advantage in those games.

- The Bruins are 56-32-7-1 in their 96 games of this lifetime series in Boston with a 330-250 scoring edge in those contests.

- The Bruins are 6-0-1 in their last 7 games vs. the Hurricanes, including a 4-1 win in Carolina on Feb. 26 in the 1st game of this season’s series, with their last regulation loss to Carolina a 4-2 road setback on Apr. 13, 2013 … They have won their last 4 games vs. the Hurricanes on home ice and they are 9-3-0 in their last 12 home contests vs. Carolina.

Fun Fact: The Bruins are 33-29-3-3 vs. Carolina since they relocated from Hartford at the start of the 1997-98 season.

Ali as always you are great.

Eriksson on line #3 is funny, but that is Claude.

In what way has he earned his top 6 minutes? He's been horrid. Krejci too.
Not funny. A deserving demotion. Plus, Eriksson makes up for Spooners defensive decencies. Win win, IMO.

That is correct :banghead:  currently 15-16-4

I figured by March the home and road records would even out but that has not happened and I am at a loss why. We kid about the Bruins coming home and having to deal with infants could be the reason but now we have to concede that is a possible cause.

The 09-10 Bruins not nearly as good as this years team on the road as they were the 6 seed with just 91 points but they finished 18-17-6 at Home...hopefully we finish with a better record at home than that team

But did go 5-2 at Home in the playoffs

Losing games 5,7 vs the flyers

It was 6 years ago this week when THIS happened

I remember this like it was yesterday. I was feeling lightheaded early that Sunday morning and went to Mt Auburn Hospital who then shipped me to the Brigham as they thought ( proven wrong ) it may have been a heart issue.

So I am now wired with every heart monitor known to modern man when Cooke slams Savard. The nurses station called a 'Code Blue' on me as monitors went nuts.

Whoops I was wrong

On December 16th the Bruins reached .500 at Home for the 1st time all season with a Win to improve to 7-7-2

On December 18th the Bruins got over .500 at Home for the 1st time beating NJ to improve to 8-7-2

December 29th the Bruins beat Ottawa to go to 9-9-2 this is the last time we have had a .500 record on Home Ice this season

I remember sitting on the couch with me Dad flipping out that was such a horrible moment...Even my Mom who I think I have heard swear maybe 3x in my life in front of me dropped a few curse words ha

I love the Bs they have brought me so much joy in my life...But I also think they will be responsible for taking a few years off my life when my time comes haha....This team has been an emotional roller coaster over the years

I can't watch that video. I cry every time I see it.

I had just seen him so happy the day before in Long Island. I was staying at the hotel and they were getting coffee in the lobby Starbucks. They were heading to their pre game breakfast meeting.

Ironically, Michael Ryder got booted from the game for boarding Blake Comeau and Savvy was yelling bs at the ref who wanted to keep a lid on the game. Bruins won the game :)

I also remember that he was dressed really nice too.

I cherish that I was able to see him play his last game..

Now I'm sad..

don`t play down to the competition boys and you`ll be fine

This can't be stated enough. This late in the year good teams don't squander points like this. Show us your a good team.

Players I want to see get back into things a bit:

Whole second line, specially DK.

Yeah, it can't be understated how much the Bruins need to win this game. There are going to be some tough moments coming up. After this game the Bruins have the Islanders, Sharks, Ducks, Kings, Rangers and Panthers. The Bruins WILL lose. People WILL freak out. That can be OK if you collect all the points you can before this ridiculous trip coming up.

Actually you saying this is funny. Only reason he is on the third line is because he helps defensively as that line was struggling with that aspect of their game. The great thing about Loui is how he can help anywhere any forward position. No worries about him on the third line as he still gets big minutes as he kills penalties and on the first PP unit. Just to funny "he is horrid" :amazed::shakehead
