With all the attention Auston Matthews garnered this season with his 50 in 50 achievement it had me wondering about players who achieved even more substantial feats, such as 60 in 60 & 70 in 70 or 80 in 80. These feats are obviously an even rarer achievement than 50 in 50 and yet the NHL does not give it any 'official' recognition at all, heck they don't even list it anywhere. And so herein is a lists of all players who have achieved this feat;

It's incredible what Mario accomplished in the dead puck era with a failing body.
I just wish he was healthy his whole career.

Nice to see Phil Esposito's name on this list a few times. Truly a great scorer of his time. I think he gets lost in the shuffle in the Gretzky and beyond era

It's really crazy what Matthews did last year, in relation to some of these all-time marks...

Because let's be honest - Matthews wasn't 100% to start the season, and then he got injured after scoring his 51st goal in 50 game, and wasn't 100% healthy when he came back either. So with 51 goals in 50 games, had he been 100% healthy on either side of that streak, I think 60 goals in 60 games would have been well within his reach.

I don't know that he has another season in him with those type of numbers, but I sure hope so and that he's fully healthy if so, so no question marks would be left about his maximum output or "what if".
