Frustrating loss.

We seem incapable of improving in OT or shootout. At some point the coach has to notice...right?

The future
Lehner played so well all night, but bombed in SO.

Moulson put the monkey right back where it was with that SO attempt. :sarcasm:

At least there was a point out of it?

Solid game. Sens seem like a team that will be floating in no man's land for a while.

The shootout has zero to do with the coach. Unless you think Ted Nolan's "kumpeet" coaching made them good at shootouts.

Well, seeing as the Sabres, down to a man, just seem to suck at the shoot out, it's only fitting that Lehner sucks at the shoot out as well.

You would think bylsma would go balls to the wall in overtime knowing they suck at the shootout........

Lehner made enough big saves to get them there. He wasn't the problem. No goal scoring *skip* no goal scoring did them in... again.

Bobby Ryan first star? Should've been Anderson, Lehner and Dzingel since he got his 1st. The goalies were both good.

Anderson basically won them this game. Eichel scoring on that break away in OT would have been sweet, but I think he was dog tired.

Actually it has everything to do with coaching, they pick the players. The team now has lost 5 or 6 points by losing in shootouts now? He puts in people who SHOULD be scoring sometimes. My suggestion would be maybe foligno (she has a penalty shot two games ago where he nailed it), Ristolainen (he has raw talent and might surprise). You shake it up, Kane screwed up so he wasn't there, and all the O-fers have had their chances, think outside the box. Legwand had a nice goal the other day maybe give him a shot? It's been annoying all year. COaching all year has been poor and he has really not done a great job so far.

Don't hurt yourself stretching.

Last time, it was Eichel and Moulson (based on career numbers) who should've shot. Now it's Foligno and Risto? Next time it'll be some other players. It's a shell game.

Eichel isn't who I wanted but he had Andy beat. Everyone was clamoring for Eichel last shootout, now he goes in and we still blame Disco for the shootout selection?
