[FIELDSET="QUOTES TO NOTE"]

I know I need to be better. That third goal is a killer.
As a group, we responded really well in the 3rd period. It’s back to work to get better and improve.
- Henrik Lundqvist

I don’t know what the deal is. It’s been a staple here since I’ve been a part of this team.
It’s been tough for opponents to play here. Usually we feed off the energy of the crowd and have a good start.
Right now, it’s not going the way we want.
- Ryan McDonagh

We came off a sequence where he played three really strong games and then we’re off four or five days.
The only thing he can do and the only thing we can do as a team is get back to work.
- Alain Vigneault

upstart teams bringing their A game against us is the cost of a few playoff runs. Hopefully something happens with the defense.

much prefer raanta tonight.

sabres have no fear against us and hank is vulnerable. weak pysche and prone to 1st goal eph ups.

time for henrik to step up and prove the doubters wrong. if he fails, the torch and pitchfork clan will be seeking answers.

I've prepared my list already and im prepared to use it.

screened
fluky deflection
unstoppable snipe
2 on 0 not his fault
wants that one back
nothing he could do
no one could have stopped that
vally says its ok, so it never happened....

and thats just for the 1st shot on net.

he doesnt need excuses bro.

goalies give up goals. thats a given. we all know that.

however, elite goalies dont give up ghastly goals at bad times in games over and over again.

goal 1 was a 2 on 1 that become a 3 on 1 1/2. jones had all day to pick it. raanta was exposed.

goal 2 was literally a guy alone on raanta. come on man. watch the film.

goal 3 was a stupid deflection off a shaft. that one was flukey.

I did. I was losing it when we gave up the GWG on a squeaker off our own guy. I hope today is different.

AV should ride Hank hard for the rest of the season regardless of his play. If Hank manages to get his **** together then we might do some damage in the playoffs. If not and we end up not making the playoffs then so be it. As much as i love Raanta this team is not going anywhere with him. Might as well have a rested team ready for next season.

this is just :amazed: :shakehead

i do not understand this fear of playing raanta and the corresponding belief that playing hank is the only way to the playoffs. and once there, hank is the only way to the cup.

ive read that alot here. i dont get it.

who did the pens win the cup with last season ? matt murray

to me when i read that i read this, " we must play hank, he will get upset and then he might be mad and then what ?" play bad? um...... well, hes not playing that great now.

play hank and miss the playoffs ? wha ?

play raanta only 5 games more ? what if bad henrik continues to flop around and whiff on cream puffs ?

then what ?

play them BOTH. play who ever gives us the best chance to win

period.

ODC is on point. It's just that forever Hank has given us the best chance to win. However lately not very much. It sucks but it is what it is
