[FIELDSET="QUOTES TO NOTE"]

It’s funny. In a game like this the first question is about the goal, but obviously that’s the difference.
It’s a game we should put away before we hit 40 minutes with the amount of chances we had.
- Henrik Lundqvist

Everyone feels like we deserve better than we got. We had the puck a lot, we were drawing penalties and even our PK was getting chances.
We just couldn’t find a way to get a puck in the net. If you don’t do that, eventually you’re going to get burned.
- Marc Staal

The way our guys are playing right now and competing on the ice, we’re doing a lot of the things that are gonna permit us to win games.
- Alain Vigneault

KZZ could be ridiculously good. We know how Kreids and Mika are playing, and Zuuc's passing is awesome right now. Cannot wait to watch this game!

Vesey-Stepan-Nash is one helluva two-way line, and I'm guessing AV wanted to have a line he could get out there against the Ovechkin line when he has the chance.

5-1 Caps have their way with us in this early season game . Would prefer Ranger win....but not going to happen today . :)

Knowing the Rangers they will put up 5 on the Caps and get shutout by the Coyotes 3rd string goalie.

AV said he wanted to see Zooks play with Zib and Kreider in the preseason but did not get a chance.

No better time than the regular season to practice line combinations. #HeadShake

I'm hoping it will go well. Lines are changed all the time in the season plus Zooks/Zib already have scored 2 goals on around 5 partial shifts together.

So you never want to change the lines?

Is that what I said? It was directed at AV's insistence on keeping 150 minor leaguers in camp rather than work on different possibilities relating to line combos and their ability to develop chemistry. I should have been more clear, as I believe that line in particular might be the best line for us yet.

Kreider - Zub - Zucc was a line for parts of the third period as well, for reference
