Richer's Ghost
Bourbonite
A walk down memory lane.
We've both had our Lemieuxs and their awards...
We've both had our Jagrs Jagrin'...
And our Martins...
And the Stanley Cups with Hall of Fame Captains...
And seen the arenas of championships left for newer venues...
and lots of other stuff too;
So how about a good ol' game of hockey tonight for all our homies that came before.

Penguins team scope: Captain Sidney Crosby returned to the lineup after a one-game absence due to an upper-body injury in a 4-0 loss to the Washington Capitals on Wednesday. Crosby, who received an injection last week to treat the ailment that also caused him to miss the 2015 Honda NHL All-Star Game, earned 19:42 of ice time and took three shots on goal on a line with Chris Kunitz and David Perron. He finished 7-for-24 on faceoffs (29 percent success rate). Center Maxim Lapierre, who was acquired in a trade with the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday in exchange for Marcel Goc, played 14:15 in his Penguins debut on a line with Nick Spaling and Steve Downie. The Penguins, who have lost five of the past six games, were without center Evgeni Malkin (lower body) for a third straight game.
Devils team scope: Forwards Patrik Elias (resting), Mike Cammalleri (soreness) and Martin Havlat (expected arrival of second child) did not practice on Thursday, according to the team. The Devils improved to 3-6 in the shootout this season after a 2-1 victory against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday; all three wins have been at Prudential Center. Adam Larsson scored his second goal of the season with 2:50 left in the third period to pull the Devils into a 1-1 tie before Jacob Josefson and Patrik Elias scored in the tiebreaker. Schneider made 29 saves through overtime and wasn't scored on in the shootout. Jagr and Tuomo Ruutu each returned to the lineup after missing three games due to illness.
