I watch some Flyers games, and many less Leafs games, and just about nothing not involving either.

This year's Flyer's are fairly ready to meet the Leafs in a playoff series, and win it. Given the Leafs their best goalie too. The stark contrast in effort, and mostly planned effort, towards the Flyer's approach is striking. Leafs would have zero practice in the co-ordinated effort required to grind out anything, and the Flyers would have been playing that style all season.

Just an observation.

I just tuned in 5 min ago, but that Tippett-Frost-TK line has been carving things up. Frost is so good at connecting everyone.
You reckon that's Frost's most useful archetypes to play with? That's a lot of speed and the two mutants on wing are looking to bury.

Is Drysdale injured already?
Illness. A lot of our guys had just gotten over something recently.

That was another amazing PP shift, into a 5v5 rush chance, for Frost too. He is dropping dimes.

100%. Tippett weirdly always has chemistry with him, even though he's not the same thinker. Frost has always been about subtle plays and line synergy while popping some creative shit. He operates best in space, and that's not a sin. He's improved plenty along the boards, but that's his forte: putting linemates in advantageous spots.

pure hathaway blame for that goal. because penalties taken are a hugely underreported source of losing. so happy to draw the line directly from another of his pointless infractions to the immediately following goal while short-handed.

his linemate poehling is the antithesis of his similary placed linemate.

Wish the team consistently used the process that brought in Walker and Poehling......and not Deslauriers and Staal. I'm interested to see Briere's 2nd run through to see if it was a fluke.
one good thing about this season's success thus far...even if it doesn't continue...is that it should be clear that no more new rando 30-somethings are needed on the way to whatever peak the FLyers management imagines for itself. that ship has sailed, and it sailed quickly.

no defense for it at this point, unless they trade 33% of the roster.
