On a team with arguably 2 or 3 league elite players it’s easy to look at a third liner and say he’s useless. Brown is having a down year scoring wise (at this rate he’ll probably end up with 10-12 goals) but he plays the PK, has the fewest giveaways on the team, has 62% defensive zone starts. He’ll smash his hits stat record this season. Scoring 8 points and maintaining an even corsi while doing all that sounds like a decent third liner to me.

My guess is lines will be

Hyman-Tavares-Marner
Johnsson-Matthews-Brown
Marleau-Kadri-Kap
Leivo-Lindholm-Ennis

PRAYING Ennis doesn't get put back with Matthews, and to a lesser degree that Marleau gets put with him.

Kap and Matthews looked really good together prior to his injury so they may get another shot, however the Marleau-Kadri-Kap line has also looked good to this point, so I'm not convinced I'd break them up.

The day I see Brown on Matthews’ wing is the day I kill myself
