[FIELDSET="QUOTES TO NOTE"]

Raanta was the best player on the ice.
It got ugly there for a couple shifts, and he made some highlight-reel saves.
- J.T. Miller

It was great to come back here and play.
I was a little nervous but it was a good thing that it ended like this.
- Antti Raanta

Any team in this league the way it is now needs two goaltenders to have success.
And we’re very fortunate that we have two goaltenders that can do a good job for us. Antti came up real big back-to-back.
- Alain Vigneault

Wow. As bad as Lundqvist has been, Schneider has even worse stats.

Hank confirmed? The goalie in me would reward Raanta for the shutout.

Not 100% confirmed. Brooksy stated Hank would get the start in one of his latest articles. Haven't seen anything else from the rest of the beat. We'll see.

I just don't think AV sits him for a third straight TBH.

Just keep winning. Play Raanta until he cools off, and keep building off of controlling the puck, cycling, and generating more chances than the other team.

I like it. And yeah, difficult for coaches to thread this needle.

Accountability should happen across the lineup and not only at one position.

Part of me is fine with AR going again tonight, part of me hates it.

Oh well. Missing most of this game for the Giants, anyway. LGR.

Raanta deserves the starts and gives Hank more time to work on his game. Good move!

Can't wait for all the people to come out of the woodwork who think we seriously have a goalie controversy :shakehead

Find it amazing the amount of people who are ripping AV for doing the right thing for the TEAM over one individual. Right now they have injuries up front and are not possessing the same fire power. They need to get healthy. They cannot afford to be down 2-0 ten mins in with Lundqvist in net. With anything in life...you play or do your job better you DESERVE the right to play. Henrik has deserved to be in between those pipes for over 10 years but right now he is struggling and it is not like he is 28. He will eventually be back in.
