not sure we had a 3rd deserving star tonight, but kessel got my vote. he had his 1st career point, led team in blocked shots, and led all skaters on both teams in ES TOI. he wasn't without some hiccups, but in the land of the blind the one eyed man is king.

Just went with the three guys who had points. Didn’t really think anyone else was all that deserving.

I went with Torpo and Walker as my 'easy' picks, which is looking like an early consensus.

I went Binner with the 3rd star, but strongly considered voting for no one. He had some great saves, but negated most of it with some poor puckhandling and his overall positioning on the 3rd goal. I ultimately went with him instead of 'no one' because he was under pressure all night and the good slightly outweighed the bad IMO. Toronto fired 31 pucks his way, but they were also being pretty damn selective and spending a ton of time moving the puck around our zone. He had to be gassed at the end of that games and despite the bad, he still held them under their expected goal total. Overall, I thought he was very much 'fine' which was much better than almost the entire team.
