I think this is the first time Bedard will face Calgary - I believe the two previous games against the Flames was when Bedard was out.

That first game was the worst Hawks lineup in history when they had to dip into Brett Seney and such. They played 11 FWD/7 Def because Pitlick was only just acquired. Somehow they won.

Should have been ANOTHER penalty there against Bedard.

I wanted to comment in the moment but it was an exciting sequence of domination so I just kept watching. Seth was actively deferring to Bedard for QB duties, which is what we needed to see. Bedard is far more dynamic with the puck on his stick compared to SJ. Better hands, he's shifty, better vision, etc. The PP should always flow through Bedard.
When Seth plays his role on the PP properly(when you have Bedard out there), things look much better.

He has quietly become a top 3-5 defensive D in the league. If the physicality starts to come more consistently... yeah, look out.
