[FIELDSET="QUOTES TO NOTE"]

Our guys were taking shooting lanes away and blocking the shots and if they got the shot I usually saw it.
They made it easy for me to play today. It's a tough team to play. The Jets have lots of skill on offense so I'm really proud of what our guys were doing.
- Antti Raanta

You obviously want those guys in your lineup every night but injuries happen.
You can't complain when they do and you can't talk about how good of a win it was when they weren't in the lineup.
Injuries are part of hockey and you just have to roll with it.
- Kevin Hayes

I think any player, coach or management that's looking at the standings right now sees the importance of games.
Everybody is battling real hard. Points are real important. I'm sure Winnipeg felt this was an important game for them too.
We felt that way and tonight we were able to get the job done.
- Alain Vigneault

Please keep in mind that regardless of which goalie starts tonight, be it Hank or Raanta, that there are a ton of extraneous forces at work here that will likely lead to a big loss tonight.

1. Back to back
2. Travel
3. Travel between countries
4. Road game
5. Good opponent

A convincing win would go a very long way, I think.

Anyway, play Clendening.

Uhhh.. you left out reason #0, FIVE forwards (four of whom are clear top nine guys) injured playing cup contender with [EDIT] only two major injuries in their skating corps. (Not counting Darling in for Crawford since he's been outplaying Hank so far this year anyway.)

Would be nice to only lose by 1 or 2.

For some reason we seem to play our BEST games vs Blackhawks. We get UP to play them as other teams get up to play us. Not sure about tonight though.

Our PK and PP is already sorely missing Nasher.

Play how you did in the third period of last night (all of the time if possible) and good things will happen. LGR!

Why close the post-game just because we have a back-to-back? Doesn't make sense, we can't talk about last nights game anymore?

The conversation ALWAYS overlaps and half the people discuss it in this thread and half the people are still in the PGT from last night. Therefore, we decided a long time ago to close the PGT early when on back to back games.

Another great test - if I was a gambler I wouldn`t bet money on this game so open.

I though the same. Are we supposed to bring it here? Okay, I will.

Usually its Raanta in the 2nd of b2b's. Team usually plays a tighter checking game in those matches and wondering if it's a "team psyche thing" because of Raanta, Talbot etc. OR because they feel its best chance of winning (AV gameplan).

We will see tonight, how well they play in front of Hank.

The Blackhawks look like a terrible team without Crawford and Toews lol. That forward corps after the 1st line is terrible.

Hossa plays on the second line and leads the team in goals. But yeah, other than that, pretty weird looking lineup with players I've never heard of.

Probably how ours looks like to a lot of other teams right now
