[FIELDSET="QUOTES TO NOTE"]

We had empty nets, their guys blocked, we hit shafts of sticks, their goaltender made some good saves. Did everything but score.
We shot everything we got pucks back and we were hard on the pucks and we made plays and just weren't able to convert.
- Derek Stepan

I have to look at it. The problem was to come back in the net there. I got stuck in Klein, so I have to look at the tape again exactly what happened.
I felt like it was under control, but when I tried to get back in the net I kind of got stuck there. Look at it and learn from it.
- Henrik Lundqvist

It’s not about frustration, it’s about winning and losing.
We didn’t win tonight. So we’re going to have to learn from this game.
- Alain Vigneault

Lines are not confirmed. Just fill-ins.

Yeah, we need some luck in this game to get points for sure. And cross fingers that some of our current lines show some sort of chemistry.

This injury list is terrifying, getting closer and closer to a Glass return

I was hoping that the next time we played Winnipeg, Trouba would be on our team.

Santa didn't give me what I wanted on the Rangers for Christmas.

I think we can assume Schiefele is a lock to play tonight right?

Great player + injured + Rangers = first game back + minimum of a goal

I'd think that at least Fontaine, Nieves, and Kovacs are above Glass on the call-up list.

Hate to break it to you but Kovacs isn't on any call up list. Neither is Tambellini. IMO Kovacs would have been better off in Sweden for one more year. Gernander doesn't seem to know what to do with him and I agree with some that Gernander doesn't develop really young players all that well--and Kovacs this year is the poster child for that theory.

These are the four guys who they'll look at next in no particular order.

1. Nieves
2. Fontaine
3. Glass
4. Brown (easy to forget about him but he has played 23 NHL games).

None of the above are setting the world on fire this year either, and personally if I had to choose it would be Nieves.

They keep saying here that Scheifele is day to day, but he's not skating with the team and wasn't 100% yesterday, according to Maurice. I really doubt he goes tonight, unless they're really playing us through the media here in Winnipeg.

As a season ticket holder, I can tell you that the Jets fans I have encountered who come to games at the Garden are the nicest in the league and it's not even close.

So let's reward them by beating their team.

Scheifele is actually going to be in...

Welp...I'm sitting out this game. Will be checking in on Twitter/NHL app.
