[FIELDSET="QUOTES TO NOTE"]

I think when you’re a leader and you’re expected to be one of the top players, you try to do that every night.
Some nights it’s there, some night’s not. Some nights you try to help defensively.
But I know that’s part of my game, that I have to help these guys and lift them when things aren’t going right.
- Rick Nash

I love watching Nash taking the puck to the net.
When he decides to do that, not a lot of guys can stop him.
- Henrik Lundqvist

You get behind the eight-ball against a hard-working team that can check real well, you need some people that can come out and take charge.
There’s no doubt Rick tonight was the leader of this team by his play. He played the type of game that we needed.
- Alain Vigneault

I want Vesey to get a hat trick, just so I can see how much salt Mike Harrington can create.

Introspective, aging veteran Nash is amusing to watch in interviews.

He's one of those guys that seems to have hit the "I'm getting too old for this ****" phase at a pretty young age.

Not a guy that's going to be out there loving hockey at age 40, I'm guessing.

Still have a bitter taste in my mouth from the Kaleta hit on Richards a few years back. There's also that other thing that the Sabres did that I won't mention.

We need the Shade Court to issue a ruling on this one.

Seems more to me like he's just being real about the league and how it seems to be getting younger and younger every season

That Klein bobble against Carolina was unacceptable. Whether he's injured or not, he's been our worst defenseman this year and needs a seat to get his head straight.
