QUOTES TO NOTE:

Even though you’re winning, you always want to improve. You want to get better every day.
Like Miller says he’s not satisfied, so I think that’s important that we’re not satisfied and not happy.
Every day is a new day and every game is a new game.
- Mats Zuccarello

You get a million things going through your mind when you get a chance like that. Your eyes always light up.
You're playing the scenario in your head before it even happens. I didn't even have time to yell for the puck and it was on my tape.
I guess instinct just took over. Thankfully I got it over his pad.
- Jimmy Vesey

It was a positive turnout. Going into the shootout, I was going to shoot first, but Hank came up to me and told me to let them shoot first.
Hank was on top of his game today so I trusted him on that. He made some big saves, and the guys got him a couple goals.
We'll take the two points and not say a word.
- Alain Vigneault

Let`s go and a brilliant post as usual - Ryan Mc. is still out which I heard in AV interview earlier this evening.
Let`s go Rangers, 3 pts! baby (2 and with +1 style point with lots of action and goals!) - let`s enjoy Zucc and the whole team as long he is a Rangers and not retired on the HF board!! :D

Carryover from the other thread: I don't understand suggestion that Vesey is fine in top9 if AV limits his minutes. How do you propose to limit Vesey's 5x5 icetime if he's playing with Hayes/Nash without limiting theirs as well? I mean we all know now that in tight games AV goes to a 3-line rotation after the 2nd TV break in the 3rd period but is there another mechanism that I'm not aware of?

Mackenzie as captain?

That's... pretty old-school leadership selection.

Besides their first defensive pairing, that's a pretty weak FLA lineup from top to bottom.

Same way Zibanejad, Zuccarello, Miller get more ice time than their line mates, special teams, extra shifts in place of guys like Carey, end of game situations. Coaches have many ways to manipulate ice time within a specific line.

Shermanator in goal for the Panthers tonight. Get to him early and don't let him get into a groove.

Come out and have a good first period (and a play a full 60 mins) for once.

Lets play a full 60 minute game please! LGR!
Probably the most overused unattainable quote EVER! This is just so not attainable. Every game has its ebbs and flows. Even the best team vs the worst team can play role reversal.
A quick look and what I see is a BIG special team difference. Oh yeah, they are playing Reimer in a less than good year for him thus far......and I really do hope AV plays Hank. No time to chance giving away 2 pts. Hank is fine, he says he is and I believe him. Get these 2 pts.

Technically they are playing 60 minutes every non-OT game. Whether they're playing well is a different story.

Let's get back on our feet after that ugly Vancouver game.

We've been outchancing teams for the better part of the past month.

Platoon with Fast. Jesper gets some shifts with Hayes and Nash. If fourth line is still activated at that point, Vesey skates with Nieves and Carey.

Vrbata is a Rangers-killer. Glad he is sitting this one out.
