2024 NHL prospect tournaments

Teams usually organize opportunities for their prospects to play against other teams' prospects before (full) NHL training camp opens.

Detroit usually hosts 8-team event in Traverse City.

Western teams (Anaheim, Los Angeles, Arizona, Colorado, San Jose, Las Vegas) have got the NHL Prospect Faceoff, that rotates between the various six teams that participate. In 2024, LA (finally) gets to host.


An opportunity for teams to show off their (new) facilities and central location for (all) scouts to check out the prospects against their peers.

I wish these tournaments were amped up and more formal. Would be great to have these games covered more

Wonder if Seattle will try to get in on these in the future.

Maybe that will then get the league to actually consider a more logical alignment with Arizona in the Pacific, along with Colorado swapping in while Calgary and Edmonton go into the Central. Because Arizona being in the Central is still dumb.
