My gut is telling me we will draft number 2. Don't know if it's lottery or trade but it would be incredible if we were able to draft Levshunov. Can hardly wait for the draft lottery:)

Barring a team leap frogging the Utahs in the lottery, that should happen. Some team is going to take Iginla early. I bet Montreal.

My highest ranked player that I think has the best shot at being there is Dickinson. I’d be thrilled to pick him. Kid is an incredible hockey player. I’ve watched all of his playoff games now. He’s really something special.

I think he is the player the team needs.

Dickenson - Durzi

Wasn't he widely regarded as the #2 going into this season? As much as I favor risers, I also think guys who fall a bit too much because they play a "boarding/pro-game" or stagnant their draft year are always a bit undervalued too.

Guys who fall like Eiserman are the scary ones

I think it was seen as Celebrini 1st, then Eiserman/Demidov 2nd/3rd and then Dickinson/Levshunov 4th/5th.

Yup. The Coyote curse is finally lifted
Or the other way to think about it is ..

We are the curse.. it follows us .. The jets only one 1 play off series.. the Yotes win 2

The Utah arena deal falls apart..

Every team we cheer for gets moved ..

The Yotes come back and win the cup .. the Utah team never makes the playoffs

Nerdy fun. I traded down with Calgary and then back up. A continuation of drafting big dudes.

I kind of like Zane Parehk..Right D that can skate and shoot..

However I think we draft Silayev if we don’t win the lottery
I am not high on Parekh. I know i am in the minority. I dont think he is a BA type d man. His numbers are impressive though.

He's the antithesis of a Bill type player. It's not just about being big for Bill, it's about handling physicality. Cooley isn't big but he's strong and physically assertive. Parekh is not. He's elite in most respects but he's not strong or physically assertive.

I love Parkeh. I’ve watched all of his playoff games and maybe 20 regular season games and all the behind the scenes road to the memorial cup show episodes. All the hype. He’s such a fun player to watch.

He’s bad defensively. He’s weak and doesn’t compete defensively. He avoids all the hard areas shamelessly. Doesn’t even buzz by. He’s way out there, hoping for a pass and a clean break.

There’s some risk in that. He needs to refine a lot in his game before an NHL head coach is willing to trust him outside of a PP specialist role.

I like the kid. I believe in the rare and special talent. Because of that I have him top ten. But despite that, I don’t have him top five.

Keep it and draft BPA 100% - unless it’s 2nd overall and BPA is Demidov and he doesn’t want to play for Utah. Then you pick on the 3rd guy on your list. Mine is Zeev Buium.

Thinking about this. And reflecting on what Buium accomplished this season and how he looked doing it and the level of competition, I’m moving him up to 2nd. Demidov was incredible. But only in the MHL. His team won but he was out and it’s not the Frozen Four. And he wasn’t at the WJC or the u18s (no fault of his own). Zeev was there. He was a critical piece and he just won everything. And he looked rock solid doing all of it. He’s my 2nd overall.
