And yes I'm aware that his scoring jump coincided with the actual end of the DPE not the accepted one. You ask me, the DPE lasted until 2015

From 08/09 to 16/17, Kane is 3rd in playoff scoring behind only Crosby and Malkin (Toews is 4th btw)

From 07/08 to 16/17 Kane is 3rd in regular season scoring only behind Ovechkin and Crosby.

From 17/18 to 2021/2022, before Kane's shitty season from a hip injury and this year of only playing 40ish games, Kane is 4th in scoring behind McDavid, Draisaitl, and MacKinnon.

Kane never played with his head up his ass. He was routinely a top point producer in the league for most of his career. Just behind the best of the best: Crosby, Malkin, Ovie, McDavid, MacKinnon.

This is a really bad point, no offense, lol. Kane basically had one down year in 2011-12 when he had the wrist injury and was playing out of position. In many seasons he was doing it without a great Center at even strength to play with.

I wonder though, there was a certain incident that happened and then his production took off.

I didn't say it was a definitive thing that he would have been any better but you have to wonder.

I know we should be adding size to the prospect pool, but taking a swing on Justin Poirier (5’8”; 181) with a late 2nd or in the 3rd if he’s there is real tempting. The production is fantastic and he’s one of the youngest players in this class

Lindstrom is going Top 10 based on a 35 game WHL sample size on a stacked team, I would consider that a bit of a dart throw.

Yeah, I don't love the season that the Big Forwards taken last year had this year. They're frustrating as prospects because they don't have overwhelming production in lower leagues, but you know that you're gonna need someone to make it through.
