I love Levshunov, but if the Hawks pass on Demidov to take him, I'll always look at Levshunov like Dewey Cox father looks at him

Sennecke (Oshawa) vs. Dickinson (London) in the OHL Championship. Game 1 just getting started.

The QMJHL final is also going on, but they don't have anyone that interesting.

I'm here for Lindstrom. Special combination of size, speed and skill.

Would love to see us use a couple of seconds to jump into the end of the first round and grab his linemate Basha as well.

London is up 8-1 on Oshawa. Yeah..

Sennecke is not playing due to a shoulder injury. He will be taken off pez's draft board because we cannot trust those sheisty foreign doctors from Canada to give an honest assessment.

if Anaheim fell in love with Ivan and there are rumors Montreal also likes him alot. I dont love moving to 5 what would you want to move from 2 to 3. edmonton 1st for sure. and maybe swap a 2nd maybe Anaheim's for LA pick?

This dude really has us taking Carter George at 20 LMFAO. Give me Hage all day
He starts off all right, but then goes off the deep end with the Hawks pick at 20 and a VERY non-North American list between 20-30.....

Had no idea Sennecke had character concerns but that definitely can be pertaining to effort and not being a douche.
If it's effort, it's interesting because then it makes you think "He was this good and he wasn't even giving it his all. How good could he be if he committed?"

But will he ever fully commit? Teams will have to get a good read on him.

there is a Comp card on Demidov on twitter: it has Star and NHL probability at 99%..

DY comps, tavares, kane, jack hughes, Eichel, Mario lemieux
full comps: Gretzky, Kane, bedard, Michkov, Lemieux

im starting to wonder if he might be better then celebrini. the fact that say he is a 200 foot player that gives really consistent effort and is not afraid to goto to the net or the boards. it feels like his range is somewhere from top 3 wing in the league is ceiling and the floor is top 10.

Like most drafts there's a sweet spot to draft players. It feels like there is a pretty steep drop-off from 17-25 range for me. Then there is a flat tier where you can put 30-40 names up from picks 25-65. Last year there was a significant dip from picks 9-22 and then it flattened heavily from pick 22-62 for me. I like the depth and the top 5 of last years draft a bit more, but players in the 9-22 range are of much higher quality this year. It feels like there is a lot more blue chip prospects with a lesser quality top 5 comparative to last year. A slightly above average class for me

Apparently teams have a chart on what swapping picks are worth. Any guess on how far the Hawks could move up offering #20 and #34? Get Demidov at #2 and try to get either Yakemchuk or Parekh if one slips.

For you, what separates Buium from Parekh?

Just like last year, I don't think the Hawks are going to be able to move up. The draft tails off around pick 15-16 this year.

Besides the handedness, for me Buium has a better chance to develop more defensive chops while Parekh has more of a danger of being just offense. I don't think either are ever a lock down shut it down guy in their own end, but I suspect Buium has a chance to be serviceable at least and fear Parekh may not.
