And we should be clear, there is no fallout from his speech. People online are mad at him, but so what. Despite all of the big talk about how he’s being silenced, he’s not.As a Jewish transwoman, I find Butker’s hateful speech to be disgusting and scientifically and, ironically enough, religiously (if he claims to be Catholic, he should damn well know it was the Romans who persecuted and later crucified Jesus with Judas being the catalyst; hell, he should know that Jesus was Jewish at first) wrong.
Given that he lives in a country where freedom of speech and religion matters, he’s allowed to say these things. However, he is not free from the repercussions of his free speech.
If the Chiefs decide to cut him because of his idiotic comments (including bashing a good portion of the Chiefs hardcore fanbase, and he was stupid enough to go after the girlfriend of the tight end who owns the damn career Super Bowl receiving touchdown record, so he’s pissed off damn near every Swiftie as well - and before you ask, no, I am not a Swiftie.), he has nobody to blame but himself.
Again, as an American, he has every right to make stupid comments, so long as those comments don’t cause physical harm to anyone else. He does not have the right to be immune from the fallout of his hateful speech (see; Jones, Alex).
I was told Mahomes was trying to distance himself from Butker

Or you could just admit you were wrongI'll wager any amount these guys aren't hanging out after practice.
That is full on diplomatic distancing himself. Mahomes isn't gonna throw him under the bus.
Team first. Not sure what you are looking for here. An argument? Go elsewhere.

I guess when you’ve convinced yourself of something, you only focus on the things that affirm what you believeYou posted quotes where Mahommes says he doesn't agree with Butker, so yes. Good job confirming this.
Yes, that’s how I’m reading your reply where you post Mahomes distancing from some of Butker’s beliefs and don’t see it.I guess when you’ve convinced yourself of something, you only focus on the things that affirm what you believe

No, it’s “organized”Doesn't the O in OTA stand for "optional"?
Not agreeing with him, but his jersey sales aren't hurting.
