Moritz Seider is just unbelievably good. Germany in the WC Finals is a testament to why I believe having that star two-way #1D is the most important aspect of team success. The rest of your team can be mediocre or even straight up bad (like this year’s Wings roster…) and you’ll still have some level of success when you have a guy like Seider out there 25 minutes a night.
didnt Seider have an awful year in Detroit this season? I can't say I watched Wings games, but I recall hearing "sophomore slump"

Yes and no. Basically Chiarot was stapled to him up until like mid season. Once he was separated from him, his play turned around quickly.

They call that the “Ben Chariot effect” around these parts.

I think Seider will soon replace Charlie McAvoy as my favorite defensemen in the league.
