Engstrom had the biggest one year development as a prospect I've ever remember seeing with the habs, so that fits.

I picked Heineman but I understand the Beck argument too.

Add Kapanen or Tuch

Grant McCagg (@grantmccaggrecrutes) on Threads

While Grant McCagg puts Kapanen 4th among the CH's top prospects, he's not among the 10 possible picks for this 6th-place poll...

If people wanted to have him in the 10 choices, they had to say so in the previous threads. There's under 10% of poll voters (well 10.75% right noiw but it will go down) who vote on who to add next.

Not a big beck fan , sue me

And don't get me wrong I'm a big fan of *franchise altering 3rd line centerman core player that you slot on the third line for a decade* as you can tell by my username. I just think there's some offensive flash missing there but I hope he proves me wrong

I'm going with Owen Beck. He looks pretty polished, and still has another year of junior eligibility. I hope to see a big leap forward from him this season.

Add Kapanen.

Is Owen Beck far better than his stats suggest? Farrell just tore up NCAA
Recency bias maybe. I was a huge Farrell fan but his weak NHL start and WC after dominating the NCAA left me dissapointed. On the opposite, you have Heineman who entered the AHL on a hot streak and has been up in the rankings even if he had three similar season production-wise in the SHL. It shows playing style is indeed a factor when transitioning from bigger to smaller ice and role within a team.

I voted Beck, add Kapanen. I feel Beck is already playing a pro style, 200 foot game with high compete level and great faceoff skills. Just need to add more strenght and being showcased in a more offensive role in the OHL before transitioning to the pros. He looked impressive in his short stint at training camp, being fearless againt the pros and hitting the post a couple of times. High floor not much lower ceiling than the remaining prospects in the list and for sure higher NHL probabilies than most.
