I am confident this will end up being a bottom 5 team again. Fedotov contract could end up being a contributing factor. He could suck and passing on not having a reliable backup could bite them along with other scenarios (torts losing room, injuries, players regressing)
still kinda stunned a supposedly(they are not) rebuilding team is that close to the cap
You would think they would want some space they could weaponize but alas it's the same old same old.

They did already weaponize cap space in the Petersen and Johansen trades. Now they're basically out of space till those guys (and the Angelo buyout) come off in 2025-26.
