Here’s what I’ve got. I assumed an $85 million cap and that we’d figure the bonuses out and keep them on this years cap. All forward deals are for 1 year.

Marchand - Bergeron ($1MM) - Debrusk
Zacha - Krejci ($1MM) - Pasta
Hall - Coyle - Frederic ($2.5MM)
Foligno ($1MM) - Nosek ($1.25MM) - Hathaway ($1.25MM)
Greer

Orlov ($5.25M x 3) - McAvoy
Lindholm - Carlo
Gryz - Clifton ($3M x 3)

Linus
Swayman ($1.75M x 1)

This assumes they move out Reilly, Forbort, Zboril and take back no salary. Yes they are right at the $85 million I assumed but I think some of these numbers are conservative.

TLDR; it’s possible

You can’t put the bonuses on this years cap. That ship has sailed.

FYI may want to add to the OP that the estimated cap ceiling for next season is $83.5M, and then you have to take out $4.5M in bonsus overage (which might actually be $4.65M with Swayman), but for simplicity just use $79M as your max cap roster number.

With how elite Orlov's start has been for the Bruins

And his pretty lengthy history of being a general reliable #3D even if he falls back down

What are the chances the Bruins look to extend him this offseason.

I was looking at capfriendly and saw the Bruins have some tough cap decisions.

Would the Bruins trade Taylor Hall (bit to the leafs neccesarilyl just in general and bring Lysell into his role? Get orlov back at 6.5M

This assumes that Hall and Foligno don’t come back during the regular season and we make no other moves (Reilly, Zboril). Not ready to make that assumption yet
Not really true though. Getting Bertuzzi means we’re in LTIR the rest of the year, and even if we weren’t we couldn’t come close to accruing enough to make even a small dent in the overage.

Orlov has been underpaid for most of his career.

I have to assume he's looking to go be a #1B somewhere and be paid like it.

Boston already have their 1A+1B in Lindholm and Mac.

Highly doubt he comes back.

Welcome to the Jungle
Bertuzzi (UFA-4) - Zacha 4.75 - Pasta 11.25 SUBTOTAL : 20
Marchand 6.125 - Bergeron 1.0(+4 in bonuses) - JDB - 4.0 SUBTOTAL : 11.125
Frederic (RFA-2.5) - Coyle 5.25 - Lysell 0.895 SUBTOTAL : 8.645
Foligno (UFA-1) - Merkulov 0.925 - Lauko (RFA-1.0) SUBTOTAL :2.925
Greer 0.750

Orlov (UFA-6.5) - McAvoy - 9.5 SUBTOTAL : 16
Lindholm 6.5 - Carlo 4.1 SUBTOTAL : 10.6
Ahcan (RFA-1) - Zboril 1.1375 SUBTOTAL : 2.1375

Ullmark - 5.0
Swayman - (RFA-2.25) SUBTOTAL : 7.25

Total : 79.4325

I could not afford Clifton (UFA-3.75). My final decision came down to selling on Carlo or Hall. At the end of the day I did not want to lose Carlo after already dealing Forbort and Grezclyk out of town. In no way do I want to move any of these players especially Hall, but to me Orlov is just that important as a 3rd anchor. Obviously I am waiving Reilly.

I am banking on the idea the extra money gets triggered with an epic playoffs.

Here's my question for you. You can only keep 1 of these. Who would you keep:

Swayman
Orlov
Bertuzzi

Might be how that goes...
Swayman.

Orlov is turning 32. I'd like to keep Bertuzzi over Hall but I doubt there's market for TH71, and the optics of dealing a guy who went out of his way to sign here and only here wouldn't be good.

Long post incoming, bear with me:

----------------------------------------------------

Next year is obviously going to be an absolutely disastrous cap crunch, assuming the Cap remains at the projected $83.5M. Any way you slice it you're going to have to make some tough decisions and lose some very good players. Let me know how this looks as a possibility:

UFAs who you let walk:
- Krejci
- Bertuzzi
- Foligno
- Nosek

UFAs/RFAs who you re-sign:
- Bergeron ($1.0M + Bonuses)
- Orlov ($5.5M)
- Clifton ($2.75M)
- Hathaway ($1.5M)
- Frederic ($1.5M)
- Lauko ($0.9M)
- Bussi ($0.9M)

Trades:
- Hall (for Picks/Prospects)
- Forbort (cap dump)
- Reilly (cap dump)

... and finally,

Blockbuster Trade:
- To Edmonton: DeBrusk + Carlo + Swayman
- To Boston: Draisaitl

----------------------------------------------------

Now let me show you why this works.

----------------------------------------------------

First of all, the Oilers have to agree to such a deal. I don't know what fair value is, maybe Boston adds in some combo of picks/prospects. Whatever. This is what Edmonton's Top 6 F, Top 6 D, and Goalie Tandem would look like:

Kane / McDavid / DeBrusk
Hyman / Nugent-Hopkins / Yamamoto

Ekholm / Bouchard
Nurse / Carlo
Kulak / Ceci

Swayman
Skinner
(They trade away Campbell)

^ That is a fully Cap-compliant, Cup-quality team. They improve defensively at every level, which is what they desperately need. DeBrusk becomes a 90+ point player skating alongside McDavid. DeBrusk also is a guaranteed re-sign, being an Edmonton native. Also Carlo and Swayman relocate closer to their families (in Colorado and Alaska, respectively).

----------------------------------------------------

Then let's see what the Bruins' roster looks like:

Marchand ($6.125M) / Bergeron ($1.0M) / Lysell ($0.9M)
Zacha ($4.75M) / Draisaitl ($8.5M) / Pastrnak ($11.25M)
Merkulov ($0.9M) / Coyle ($5.25M) / Frederic ($1.5M)
Lauko ($0.9M) / Steen ($0.8M) / Hathaway ($1.5M)
Greer ($0.76M)

Grzelcyk ($3.69M) / McAvoy ($9.5M)
Lindholm ($6.5M) / Clifton ($2.75M)
Orlov ($5.5M) / Zboril ($1.1M)
xxxxx ($0.8M)

Ullmark ($5.0M)
Bussi ($0.9M)

^ That all comes in at exactly $80M, leaving $3.5M for Bonuses/Overages from prior year.

----------------------------------------------------

Some question marks in the lineup, but that's going to be the case no matter what. Figure Bergeron and Marchand can successfully chaperone Lysell the way they've done with Seguin, R.Smith, Pastrnak, and DeBrusk already. Draisaitl solves our dire predicament in regards to a 1C of the future. The following year you let Grzelcyk walk and replace him with Lohrei. Cap ceases to be a problem again in the foreseeable future.

----------------------------------------------------

Alright folks, what do we think?
